Living in Anger
This is the story of an Indian American family, revolving around the relationship between two brothers and their uncle. The short film follows two brothers who go on the run after a confrontation with their abusive uncle. The film, ultimately, is about identity-the identities we assign ourselves and how they conflict with the ones that others assign upon us.
Production Designing this film was thoroughly enjoyable. Within the following images of the house are the nuances of an Indian American home that is presenting a false lifestyle. Nobody is perfect, but there are those who strive to maintain the pretense that they are, in the end, forcing others to conform to what they believe is the right “way” to live.
